Every female athlete that Sports Midfield has embarked on was able to successfully transfer to Clubs in Europe and the USA, more so our young girls were able to secure scholarship. Noko Alice Matlou is with no doubt South Africa’s best female striker who has managed to net 51 goals in only 60 appearances for the South African Senior Women’s National team. We have helped her secure a Scholarship to study and play for the York University women’s first team in Toronto, Canada back in 2009. She went on to trial in Germany for the ever famous Vfi Wolfsburg in the same year. Sports Midfield has opened up pastures for South African Defender Janine Van Wyk who trialed successfully at Denmark’s FC Hjorring in 2007, however, she unfortunately suffered a knee injury which stopped the deal going through. In 2008 Rose Jijana was sent to FC Indiana in USA for three months and the following year 2009 she signed a two year deal with IBV football Club Vestmannaeyjar, in Iceland.
In the same year Antonia Robertha Carelse, a Former South African Women’s National team member and 18 year old Lerato Kgasago former U/17 and U/20 Basetsana Vice Captain who might well be the first youngest female player to establish an International move, secured a two year professional contract with the same club in Iceland IBV.
In another European move in 2008 was we facilitated a deal with the French side Feminin Condeen that signed a two year contract with Sports Midfield’s one and only Cameroonian client, Patricia Manche who represented the Democratic Republic of Congo’s senior National Women’s team.
